Deep Sea Fishing in Dubai
On a private fishing trip you head out with a crew that knows where to find the fish, and all the fishing gear is supplied. Beginners are very welcome: the crew shows you the basics and explains the rules on the day. Common catches in Dubai’s waters include hammour, kingfish, barracuda, queenfish, trevally and sultan ibrahim.
The advantage of a private charter
When you charter privately, the yacht belongs to your group for the whole trip. There are no strangers at the next table and no fixed programme: the captain and crew handle the sailing while you focus on your guests, and you decide when to sail, what plays and what is served, as far as the Coast Guard rules and the captain allow.
Choosing the right yacht
Mid-sized boats work best for fishing groups:
- Mini Cruiser 40 ft – up to 10 guests
- Sunseeker 56 ft – about 20 guests
- Wukong 68 ft – 25 guests
Ask our team which yachts are best set up for fishing on your date.
Included in the price, and optional extras
Fuel, soft drinks, ice and bottled water are part of the hourly rate, together with the yacht and its professional captain and crew. On request we can add decorations, catering, a chef at the grill or water toys. Feel free to bring your own food and drinks as well: there is a fridge, a microwave and a Bluetooth speaker on board. For an event we put together a quote that reflects how many people are coming, how long you want to sail and the extras you choose; yachts are available from 489 AED per hour (October 2026).
Tips for the day
The cooler season, roughly October to April, is the most pleasant time to fish. Recreational fishing in the UAE needs a licence; on a charter, the operator looks after the boat’s permits and the crew explains the rules, including the protection of some species during their breeding season. On the day, the crew tells you which fish you can keep. Pack sun cream, a hat and a change of clothes.
